You won’t want to sit this one out! Our STEAM Basketball program is a game-changing way to combine science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) with the fundamentals of basketball. This hands-on approach helps students improve both their skills on the court and their understanding of the real-world principles behind the game.

Through seven engaging lessons, students will explore:

🏀 The Evolution of Basketball Gear – Analyzing how materials and technology have improved shoes, jerseys, and even the basketball itself.
🏀 Building the Perfect Jump Shot – Exploring biomechanics and how body mechanics influence movement.
🏀 Court Geometry & Statistics – Measuring free throw percentages, shot charts, and player efficiency.
🏀 The Art of Playmaking – Understanding how creativity, strategy, and teamwork shape the game.
🏀 The Science of Dribbling & Ball Handling – How friction, air pressure, and spin affect control.
🏀 The Engineering of a Slam Dunk – Exploring vertical jump mechanics and training techniques.

While we can’t guarantee students will be dunking like the pros, they will gain the knowledge and skills to elevate their game—on and off the court. Teachers and administrators will find implementation as easy as a free throw!
